About diesel engines
Diesel engines are internal combustion engines that use the 'diesel cycle'; so named after its creator Dr Rudolph Diesel. Typically slower to start in cold weather, diesel engines benefit from a better efficiency of fuel usage, a longer life span and more consistent power output than other similar engines.

Our reconditioned and tested used petrol engines are all reliably supplied and tested to the same quality standards that Major Motors customers have benefited from for the last twenty years.

About petrol engines
Petrol engines are internal combustion engines that work in conjunction with spark-ignition systems. While petrol engines can run at a much higher speed than diesel engines, they are less efficient and do not benefit from the longer life span and consistent power output enjoyed by their counterparts.
Reconditioned Engines
Major Motors offer two options as related to reconditioned engines:
1) we can recondition the customer's own engine, or
2) we can supply from stock if we have a core unit available.
All of our customers benefit from a flexible warranty plan (from 3 months, 3,000 miles up-to 12 moths, 12000 miles) meaning that they have peace of mind when they drive away.

All Major Motors remanufactured engines can be supplied within three working days of receiving an order due to a supply line that is the envy of our competitors.
Our remanufactured engines are re-engineered to 'O.E' specifications and tolerances and carry a from 3 months, 3,000 miles up-to 12 moths, 12000 miles warranty, giving you peace of mind when you drive away.

About remanufactured engines
A remanufactured engine goes through an intensive process to leave it in a 'good as new' condition. Stripped to its bare components and given a deep cleaning, the engine receives a number of new parts (e.g. pistons and rings), while other parts such as the crankshaft are honed, reconditioned and polished accordingly. Remanufactured engines are cost effective, high-quality solutions that drastically improve efficiency, power and overall performance.
